For a membership application form, click here and then print. WPPA provides administration support to all member groups, as well as setting up training courses for staff in these groups. Through an allocated Childcare & Education Adviser, WPPA offers advice and support to groups on issues such as childcare practice, finance, health & safety, employment practice, charitable status, legal requirements with regard to childcare, insurance, policies, fundraising etc. Playgroup and Parent/Carer & Toddler members of WPPA, who meet the criteria for grant aid, can apply for a grant on an annual basis to help towards the general running costs of the group. Some of this criteria is that groups have a management committee and agree to the WPPA policies. The grant can help towards rent, running costs and salaries. There is a scale of membership fees based on the number and type of sessions offered. Applications for membership can be made through a WPPA Childcare & Education Adviser, who will offer advice and guidance to possible new members. Please contact us or download the application form. |
