Wandsworth Primary Play Association

Membership

WPPA provides administration support to all member groups, as well as setting up training courses for staff in these groups. Through an allocated Childcare & Education Adviser, WPPA offers advice and support to groups on issues such as childcare practice, finance, health & safety, employment practice, charitable status, legal requirements with regard to childcare, insurance, policies, fundraising etc.

Playgroup and Parent/Carer & Toddler members of WPPA, who meet the criteria for grant aid, can apply for a grant on an annual basis to help towards the general running costs of the group. Some of this criteria is that groups have a management committee and agree to the WPPA policies. The grant can help towards rent, running costs and salaries.

There is a scale of membership fees based on the number and type of sessions offered.

Applications for membership can be made through a WPPA Childcare & Education Adviser, who will offer advice and guidance to possible new members.
